ESR Technology provides engineering, safety and risk management services to water, power generation and electricity supply companies. Our expertise and technical support has played a key role in enabling customers to operate and maintain their plant more effectively, improve reliability and minimise costs.
Inspiring confidence with intelligent solutions for the utilities industryWe understand that continuity of supply is critical in the utilities industry. We know that our customers are under pressure to achieve ever-improving levels of safety and reliability in a fiercely competitive industry that continues to push for ever greater efficiency.
By combining expert reviews of inspection results and operating history, together with fitness-for-service and remaining life assessments, ESR Technology’s expert team is able to identify appropriate inspection, maintenance and life extension strategies that minimise the threat of equipment failure and unplanned outages, whilst maintaining availability and optimising inspection and maintenance expenditure.
In the event that a failure or breakdown does occur, through a process of detailed metallurgical and engineering analysis, we will determine the root cause of failure, and subsequently develop the most effective strategy to safely return the plant to service.
ESR Technology operates two major centres of excellence; the Pump Centre and the Independent Power Producers’ Forum.
A number of the UK’s water service companies are members of the Pump Centre, and regularly take advantage of the problem solving, training and technical development opportunities that it offers. It also publishes the Water Industry Mechanical and Electrical specifications (WIMES) on behalf of the UK water companies.
The focus of the Independent Power Producers Forum (IPPF) is to promote the sharing of technical experience among smaller thermal power generators and other users of steam raising plant in the UK.
